Researchers at the University of Leicester suggested a health policy by screening people at the risk of diabetes. Apart from being a prospective health policy, it can be helpful in improving the lives of the patients. The study is a part of the interdisciplinary research initiative in the social and medical sciences. The study was jointly funded by Economic and Social Research Council and Medical Research Council.
The researchers of the study said that the research work will be able to highlight the benefits of the introduction of a national screening policy of the diabetes patients. It will also help detect diabetes beforehand.
