Latest news reveals the launch of new and unique online diabetes management education program by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Diabetes Teaching Center. This is the first ever online program, which equally focuses on both understanding and improved management for diabetic patients.
This online education program will offer a complete, separate curriculum for type 1 and type 2 patients, a sub-curriculum for type 2 patients based on treatment (oral medication management vs. insulin management) and full information for health care providers.
Each section of the website provides a detailed explanations, scientific background information, self-management instruction, and optional self-quizzes to assess the knowledge he has received and learned from the program. In addition, its comprehensive library also provides a printable handouts of key tables, charts, and illustrations, plus video access to educational presentations.
Thus helping the individuals to understand diabetes, and facilitating the necessary concepts and ideas for managing lifestyle changes which will help them to manage their health care.
