Gamecube Helps Fight Diabetes

A new method is undertaken by Doctors and game developers who are working together to fuse popular electronics and medical records.
Dr. Harold Goldberg from University of Washington, is developing an interface that allows video gamers to test their blood sugar with a device connected to a Gamecube. Provided the Gamecube is connected to the internet, and the person’s blood sugar is directly transmitted to his/her doctor.

The Washington-based physician said consoles are a good way to reach diabetic teenagers as their condition usually worsens at the age they start playing more.
