The 5 th Harley Owners Group sponsored bike race takes place in Marietta this Sunday. The sponsoring group S & P Harley-Davidson conduct this bike run every year to collect money for the children suffering from the juvenile diabetes. This year around 200 people took part in the event. The fund from the ride will go to the West Virginia Diabetic Youth Camp Kno-Koma. The bike run has collected $4700 million for the diabetes patients.
The Kno Koma camp is organized each year in the summer. It is like a free summer camp to raise fund for the diabetic children.
Patsy Hardy, one of the co-owners of the S & P Harley-Davidson says that diabetes is a major problem among the children in America, today. He also opines that their aim is to circulate knowledge about the disease especially among the children. The camp covers a week and it includes various program like meditation, diet control and exercise.
