Aspirin is doubtful for preventing cardiovascular problems in Diabetics

New research done on diabetes reveals that diabetics should strongly avoid taking Aspirin as it plays no role in preventing cardiovascular attacks.

Till now it was belived that aspirin helps in the preventing the risk of suffering a heart disease.

But a recent research done by a team from Dundee University involving 1,200 middle-aged patients with type one or type two diabetes showed that aspirin benefits people who have already suffered a heart attack or stroke.

Other research, conducted by Professor Jill Belch of the Institute of Cardiovascular Research, warned that the drug if used for secondary prevention because you’ve had a heart attack, or stroke, or have a circulatory problem, it works. But it doesn’t work if you have none of these problems and there is also no evidence for its use by healthy middle-aged people.”
