Before people develop Type2 Diabetes, they almost always have Pre-Diabetes a condition where blood glucose levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed as Diabetes.
Research has shown that if proper steps are taken to control the blood sugar level during the stage of Pre-Diabetes, one can delay or prevent Type2 Diabetes from ever developing.
Unlike actual diabetes, which can be managed through diet, exercise and medication, Pre-Diabetes too can be cured.
Medical experts say that increasing sedentary lifestyles and rising rates of obesity have caused Diabetes to reach the level of epidemic in the U.S. Almost 21 million Americans are estimated to have the disease. One-third of them are not aware of it.
If not treated in time, Diabetes can damage eyes, kidneys and feet and increase chances for heart attacks, strokes and death.
Studies reveal that though genetic factors and age are one of the cause of Diabetes but if eaten right and Blood Pressure is checked on time , the chances of getting inflicted with Diabetes are very less.
