Gala Raises Record $1.2 Million for Juvenile Diabetes (IDDM)

Fund of $1.2 million has been organised by Rosemary Schatzman and Jeff Smith for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Kimberly Miller, Kathryn Smith and Elizabeth Vail are the other persons who chaired the auction of black-tie soiree and raised the prince’s ransom. ELS of New Orleans provided inspiration for getting down on the dance floor. Darryl Murchison Designs, under the guidance of decorations chair Debra Grierson, whipped up magic that followed the “Charting the Course to a Cure” theme of the annual Promise Ball. The crowd includes important persons like, DRF executive director Molly Naylor and husband Skip, Patty and Fred Hagans, Tim Vail, Greggory and Patrick Burk, Luba and Alan Bigman, DeDe and Connie Weil, Frann Lichtenstein, Aileen Gordon, Sofia AdroguĂ© and Sten Gustafson and Laura and John Spalding.

A surprise award “The Sam Smith Most Valuable Volunteer Award” has been awarded to Vanessa Sendukas for her tireless efforts as invitations chair.

On the other hand on the same day, Alexis Bryan, the executive fashion editor at Vanity Fair returned to her native land, to tie a wedding knot with Spencer Morgan, a writer for the New York Observer. They were blended with the knot at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church.

In the wedding night, very few persons were invited. The guests include her mother, Lucia Byan Brandth, Louis K. Brandt (her step father), Shelby Bryan (her father), and his companian Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
While the night before, the Groom’s parents Charlotte and Charles Morgan of Los Angeles, hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner at Ouisie’s Table in the private dining room/wine cellar.
