Diabetes is the growing epidemic in the world. It is the growing problem in the USA. Millions of people suffer from the disease there. Now its time to look at the third world countries, specifically the middle east.

A nationwide study in Iran has found that nearly 8.7 percent of the total population suffers from diabetes. diabetes causes one death in every ten seconds across the world, he explained. He added that nearly 80% of diabetic deaths in the world occur in low and middle-income countries.

Experts say that losing even modest amounts of weight and getting more physical exercise can help prevent diabetes but many people are not taking these steps.Started by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and WHO, World Diabetes Day is celebrated on 14 November to mark the birthday of Frederick Banting who, along with Charles Best, was instrumental in the discovery of insulin in 1922, a life-saving treatment for diabetes patients.
