The International Journal of Pediatric Obesity has reported that nearly three million people in Ghana are overweight or obese. Perhaps, this can define the reason of growing diabetes among the children in Ghana. Even health experts say diabetes can soon take the shape of epidemic there.

Researchers at Kaiser Permanente’s Department of Research and Evaluation, find that women who developed diabetes before pregnancy, may have problems with their blood-sugar control throughout the pregnancy. The organs of a baby is developed at the early stage of pregnancy, women need to reduce their risks before getting pregnant.

Patients with type 2 diabetes (Non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus) have a hope in gastric / abdominal surgery, after a clinical trial found it may permanently cure the condition.

Researchers say that the most easiest method to heal diabetes without taking insulin or any kind of medication is Bariatric surgery which is a weight lose surgery.
